The
Cupertino Castillo Collection represents the floors
and walls of a house in which I lived. Our rent house in
Silicon
Valley was built in the 1960s. Unfortunately, some of the carpet
in the house still remains from the 70s and 80s, as well as
the wallpaper. We (my husband and I) often scoff at it, but
we don't feel like wasting our own precious money fixing someone
else's house.
Most of the walls in our house are just plain white. The two
paintings in this collection were captured with my webcam and
didn't come out great. (One of these days I'll get around to
getting that digital camera.) When I finally get a digital camera,
nothing that a trip to Fry's won't solve, then I will upgrade
those images and add my other wall paintings as well.
The floor tiles were carefully crafted in Photoshop, then recrafted.
I've left the original versions in the collection, but also improved
upon them by either changing the orientation (direction) or changing
the size.
I also wanted to display the model of my house for you to view.
You can see approximately how my house is layed out. It was a
real challenge to create and my sims couldn't use one of my bathtubs,
because the space is so cramped. Just to think that somehow we
manage to get around in it. Incidently, the layout of the house
I live in got a three. I think I should have had my rent reduced. |
